April 4th, 2012Tiger Woods has topped the bookmakers’ favourites to win the Golf masters after he now heads into the tournament with his first US PGA Tour under his belt. Masters Tiger woods won the Arnold Palmer Invitational for a record seventh time over the weekend, marking his first title on the tour since the BMW Championship in September 2009. This victory broke Wood’s drought and put him on 72 career PGA Tour wins, one behind Jack Nicklaus and 10 behind all-time leader Sam Snead. Tiger Woods needs this confidence after a turbulent couple of years, filled with bad press coverage and poor performance. Meanwhile, in other golf new, Luke Donald has now become the world number one again. Taking the title from Rory McIlroy after a big victory in the US PGA Transitions Championship last week, and he will be hoping to follow it up with his first major Golf win at the 2012 US Masters.
